William’s one request for his senior pictures was he wanted photos with their families English Mastiff. I knew Mastiffs are big dogs, but I didn’t realize just how big they are! He came up to OVER my hip! But, he was one of the most well behaved dogs I’ve ever photographed. I will warn you though- watch out for the drool!
Tip- if you are wanting your dog in your photos I’d love to make that happen for you! The best way to have your dog in them is to make sure you have at least 1+ person there to help with the dog while we aren’t photographing it. Typically it is hot – hello its summer!- so make sure to plan accordingly, bring water and plan to stay in a shady spot. Sometimes even bringing a second car to be able to take the dog home earlier is a good plan too.
For the rest of William’s photos we did a walking tour of Browne’s Addition. It is one of my favorite areas to photograph seniors. I love not only the variety within the area, but in general all the residents are so nice and happy to see us there! William like a lot of guys wasn’t too thrilled with the idea of having his picture taken. He fully admitted this was “for mom”. I’m happy to report though that like every guy that I’ve photographed with that attitude he decided it wasn’t nearly as bad, and maybe even a little fun by the end. lol
